Sifu David Adams
David Adams became a certified Yang style T'ai
Chi Ch'uan instructor in March 1995. He was
certified to teach by his primary instructor, Sifu
Marshall Clymer of the Arctic Institute of T’ai Chi Ch’uan, in Anchorage,
Alaska. Sifu
Adams has also studied at various times with Sifu Zhi Fang Ma (T'ai Chi sword),
with Sifu Frank Choy, and with Master Vincent Chu. Sifu Adams has studied T'ai Chi Ch'uan freehand form
since 1982, T'ai Chi sabre
since 1993, and T'ai Chi sword since 1995. He studied Judo from 1973 to
1978, becoming a San Kyu Ni Kyu
(2nd degree brown belt), and Tang Soo Do
Karate from 1997 to 1999, achieving the rank of Green Belt Gup.
Sifu Adams started West Wind T'ai
Chi, a school for propagating T'ai Chi Ch'uan, in 1996. Classes are held primarily at Chena
Pump Plaza
Karate Studio. Sifu Adams has conducted classes
and workshops at many other locations, including Mary Siah
Recreation Center, Fairbanks Community Schools, Fairbanks Native Association,
the Dojo, the Delta Junction Community Center, North Pole High School, Graf Rheeneerhaanjii (“place where healing occurs”), the UAA
Kodiak Campus, and the Alaskan Women in Martial Arts & Related Studies
Weekend Retreat.

Sifu Glenn Bacon
Glenn Bacon
became a certified Yang style T’ai Chi Ch’uan instructor in May 2001. He was certified to teach
T’ai Chi Ch’uan by Sifu David Adams. Sifu Bacon has studied with several
other instructors at various times, including Sifu
Marshall Clymer, Sifu Zhi
Fang Ma (T’ai Chi Sword and T’ai
Chi Ch’uan) and Master Vincent Chu.
Sifu Bacon works in law enforcement and has a strong
background in personal self-defense skills.
